У шведских doom металлистов Candlemass вышел новый альбом. Одиннадцатая студийная работа под названием «Psalms for the Dead» была издана на лейбле Napalm Records 8 июня.

За 6 дней до выхода Candlemass покинул вокалист Robert Lowe. Его место занял Mats Levén (Yngwie Malmsteen, Therion, Treat, At Vance и др.).
